I’m an independent jewellery maker based in Eltham, Victoria, creating small-batch and one-off pieces in gold, silver, gemstones and enamel. My work is shaped by genius loci – the spirit of place. Through colour, motifs, map and contour lines, reference points and texture, I translate landscapes, memories and feelings about place into intimate, wearable forms.
I trained in Melbourne, and my practice continues to evolve through making, observing and travelling. Curiosity is my guide, taking in texture, colour and form wherever I go. With deep respect, I acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of Wurundjeri Country, including Birrarung. I pay my respects to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Nations people. My work responds to the places that have shaped and inspired me. These are living cultural landscapes with deep-time connections to Country. I do not claim these connections as my own, but recognise that my experience as a guest on this land is informed by its stories and knowings.
I release small batches and one-off designs regularly, and the website is updated periodically. If a piece you love has sold out, you’re always welcome to contact me. I also take commissions, working with you to create pieces with personal meaning. If I’m not the right fit, I’m happy to connect you with other respected jewellers.
Work is made in my Eltham studio and with trusted collaborators. Some pieces are handmade from start to finish, while others are realised using CAD and casting when appropriate. I pay close attention to how a piece feels as much as how it looks – wearability is considered from the first sketch.
Thanks for being here,
Robyn
