In this collection, Stratum refers to geological layers of material formed over time under pressure, marked by mineral presence.
The works take the form of idealised core samples – discs and hollow cylinders that echo the sections extracted to study the earth’s structure.
The textured silver acts as a cut plane, while gemstones are set as mineral deposits revealed within the cross-section.
